Kombucha Mule
It was a long day. Not a bad day, but a long day. The kind of long day where you eat dinner at your desk.
I left the office so late that Fitz got nearly the whole streetcar to himself - which he loved.
So I got home, made Fitz his dinner (yes I cook for him… don’t judge), sent out the last email for the night and decided to settle in and catch up on the Late Night with Seth Meyers episodes I haven’t watched yet this week.
By the first commercial I wanted a cocktail.
Despite the long hours today I’d been pretty healthy in my choices, Cauliflower Bowl at lunch (from School in Liberty Village so yummy!) and a feast salad for dinner. So I wanted to at least pretend that my next choice was in line.
I really like Kombucha, I try to keep it in my house, and whenever I feel like my system needs a dose of probiotics (or if I just want a delicious beverage) I crack one open. When I stumbled on the idea of a kombucha cocktail I was immediately all in! It’s like a head fake towards healthy.
So I took some lime and ginger muddled it in cup, added some Bourbon (you could also use vodka or rum if that’s your thing). Then topped it all with some Rise Kombucha (an awesome company based out of Montreal).
