Empress & Elderflower - Gin & Tonic
Despite what it looks like outside - I am clinging to the idea that spring is here.
So while I ignore the fact that it is literally snowing in April, I decided to make a Gin & Tonic.
I started with the Empress Gin (I know, I’m mildly obsessed with both it’s taste and colour). Since it paired so beautifully with the St Germain the other day I picked up some of the delicious Fever Tree Elderflower Tonic water.
The coolest thing about this gin is that is shifts in colour when you add things to it, so a few ml of tonic water and it shifts from the vibrant indigo to the prettiest purple.
I added a broad strip of lemon zest, turned my back on the snow, and let myself pretend that it might really be spring… at least until I have to go walk Tiny Dog later.
